Strategic Training Initiative for the Prevention of Eating Disorders (STRIPED)
Our initiative is a public health incubator, designed to cultivate novel insights and strategies for prevention. We introduce trainees to a rich array of disciplinary perspectives, methodologies, and theories and provide them with opportunities to join crosscutting collaborative teams.
Policy Translation Training
STRIPED’s mission is to train the next generation of health professionals to use the power of public health to prevent eating disorders and create a society where girls, boys, and people of all genders can grow up at home in their own bodies. Policy translation is an important aspect of our mission, and STRIPED works to turn research into policy action to reach the millions of youth at risks for eating disorders and other related problems with food, weight, and appearance.
