Strategic Training Initiative for the Prevention of Eating Disorders (STRIPED)

Our initiative is a public health incubator, designed to cultivate novel insights and strategies for prevention. We introduce trainees to a rich array of disciplinary perspectives, methodologies, and theories and provide them with opportunities to join crosscutting collaborative teams.

Academy for Eating Disorders (AED)
Academy for Eating Disorders is a global professional association committed to leadership in eating disorders research, education, treatment, and prevention. Their goal is to provide global access to knowledge, research and best treatment practice for eating disorders. For the public via its website, AED provides education on eating disorder symptoms and treatment recommendations.

National Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness
The National Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness is a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing programs and activities aimed at outreach, education, early intervention, and advocacy for all eating disorders. The Alliance’s FindEDHelp tool can help providers and the public find eating disorders experts in their area.

Eating Disorders Coalition (EDC)
The EDC advances the recognition of eating disorders as a public health priority throughout the United States by raising awareness for eating disorders and working with Congress and the federal government.

FEAST (Families Empowered And Supporting Treatment for Eating Disorders)
FEAST is an International non-profit organization of and for caregivers of loved ones suffering from eating disorders. FEAST’s Mission is to support caregivers by providing information and mutual support, promoting evidence-based treatment, and advocating for research and education to reduce the suffering associated with eating disorders.

National Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (NCEED) at University of North Carolina
NCEED’s website provides eating disorders resources for both health care providers and the public including how to get help and treatment options.

National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA)
NEDA supports individuals and families affected by eating disorders, and serves as a catalyst for prevention, cures and access to quality care.

Recovery Record
Recovery Record is a smart eating disorder recovery app that fits into life and links with your treatment team to help achieve lasting recovery. The app, which has been evaluated in clinical trials, is available to use in connection with a treatment team.
