Our initiative is a public health incubator, designed to cultivate novel insights and strategies for prevention. We introduce trainees to a rich array of disciplinary perspectives, methodologies, and theories and provide them with opportunities to join crosscutting collaborative teams.

Legislative Updates

Breaking news: On Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026, AB 2030 passed the California Senate with an impressive 31–2 vote!

AB 2030 will now head to Governor Gavin Newsom’s desk for the final step.

This milestone brings California closer than ever to putting commonsense protections in place for young people from dangerous over-the-counter diet pills and muscle-building supplements. We are proud to be part of this historic campaign alongside advocates across the state and beyond.

A big thank you to Assemblymember Josh Lowenthal, legislative champions, STRIPED youth advocates, the Center for Science in the Public Interest, and our many coalition partners and community and youth advocates whose leadership and sustained advocacy have helped move AB 2030 forward.
