Certificate Overview

The Public Health Innovation Certificate of Specialization from the Harvard Chan Advanced Learning Academy equips professionals with the skills to drive innovation across public health systems, organizations, and initiatives through a pathway aligned with their goals and area of focus.

Through this specialization, you will choose one of two pathways—AI Leadership or Quality Improvement—and complete the required curriculum within five years. Each pathway combines a core experience in entrepreneurship with focused coursework in artificial intelligence, leadership, or quality improvement. You will build the frameworks and confidence to lead innovation, improve outcomes, and create meaningful value in complex public health environments. Earning a Harvard credential highlights your commitment to innovation in public health while giving you practical tools to turn new ideas into action. Through engagement with peers and faculty, you will explore solutions that strengthen systems and improve real-world outcomes.

There is no set price for this Certificate of Specialization as those pursuing a certificate will pay for each individual course within their selected pathway separately to allow for flexibility in course selection. For the cost of each course, please visit the program page links listed above.

Participants have up to 5 years to complete the Certificate of Specialization.

Yes, any of the individual courses can be taken individually, and you will receive either a Certificate of Completion or Certificate of Fundamentals (depending on which courses you select) from the Harvard Chan Advanced Learning Academy for each course.
