The Environmental Health Certificate of Specialization from the Harvard Chan Advanced Learning Academy equips professionals with the knowledge and skills to address environmental risks that shape health outcomes across communities, workplaces, and populations.
Through this specialization, you will choose one of two pathways—Global Environmental Health or Occupational Health—and complete the required curriculum within five years. The program combines foundational study in environmental health with coursework focused on identifying harmful exposures, understanding their effects on human health, and applying evidence-based strategies to reduce risk. You will build analytical, technical, and practical skills that support effective decision-making across a wide range of environmental and occupational health contexts. There is no set price for this Certificate of Specialization as those pursuing a certificate will pay for each individual course within their selected pathway separately to allow for flexibility in course selection. For the cost of each course, please visit the program page links listed above.
Participants have up to 5 years to complete the Certificate of Specialization.
Yes, any of the individual courses can be taken individually, and you will receive a Certificate of Completion from the Harvard Chan Advanced Learning Academy for each course.
