The Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Center of Excellence provides academic, research, and service-learning opportunities to public health students, researchers, and practitioners whose mission is to improve the lives of mothers, children, and families.

People
Our MCH-affiliated faculty trains graduate students, conducts innovative and rigorous research in maternal and child health across the lifespan, and educates the world on maternal and child health issues.
Our faculty’s research addresses a wide array of critical MCH topics, such as human milk and neurodevelopmental outcomes, the effects of COVID-19 on maternal and perinatal health, social media’s impact on adolescent health, early childhood adversity, and more. Each year, our faculty provides technical assistance to partners at local, regional, national, and international levels, actively engages in numerous conferences and events, and publishes an average of 150 scholarly articles.
