Our mission is to make Harvard Chan School an exceptional place to teach and learn by fostering an environment that supports personal, intellectual, and professional growth. We support the School’s community and its teaching and learning environment in the following areas:
Resources for teaching and course development
Offer a wide range of teaching and learning support for faculty and teaching fellows, including support for course design and development, teaching fellow trainings, peer workshops, and support with course materials and online resources.
Management of School-wide MPH and DrPH degree programs and the Summer Session for Public Health Studies
Partner with administrative offices and/or academic departments to manage the school-wide Master of Public Health (residential, hybrid, and online) and Doctor of Public Health degree programs, and summer programs for degree and non-degree students, including the Summer Session for Public Health Studies. Advise and support students throughout their academic journey at Harvard Chan.
Field practice, community engaged learning, and public health leadership opportunities
Develop and manage experiential learning opportunities through field practice and community engaged learning by cultivating relationships with public health organizations around the world to support students’ educational and career goals.
Lead programming to help students develop a greater understanding of themselves as leaders and learners through the Public Health Leadership Lab.
Educational policy, School-wide assessments, and accreditation
Oversee the process and approval of new courses, degree programs, fields of study, and concentrations through the Committee on Educational Policy.
Improve the educational experience of students through a variety of school-wide surveys, assessments, and reports.
Ensure the School continues to meet the accreditation standards of the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
