Welcome to the Mahalingaiah Lab
At the Mahalingaiah Lab, we are a dynamic team of researchers and students dedicated to better understanding environmental, reproductive, and women’s health using digital platforms. We investigate how common exposures – including air pollution and chemicals found in personal care products – can impact health outcomes. Our goal is to improve health across the entire lifespan.
We are located within the Department of Environmental Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

What we do
This group of students and researchers investigate how environmental exposures and toxicants, such as air pollution and personal care products, affect reproductive health, linking them to gynecological diseases, pre-term birth, infertility, and fetal development. The lab also investigates factors impacting ovulation and menstrual health to optimize health during reproductive transitions and understand diseases like PCOS, infertility, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids.
Our Research
The world around us impacts our health. We investigate the relationship between environmental exposures and toxicants on health outcomes.
Mahalingaiah Lab strives to better understand diseases that affect women throughout their lifespan, advancing reproductive health knowledge with thorough research.
