HSIL Hackathon 2026 Building High-Value Health Systems: Leveraging AI.

Applications for the 7th Edition of the Harvard Health Systems Innovation Lab Hackathon are now open! This is a unique opportunity to tackle real-world health systems challenges and share your innovative ideas with the world. The theme for the 2026 hackathon is “Building High-Value Health Systems: Leveraging AI.”

The HSIL Hackathon brings together students, innovators, clinicians, researchers, technologists, and entrepreneurs from across five continents to design high-value health system solutions. It is an intensive, collaborative experience spanning two days, where participants brainstorm, build, and pitch new ideas to tackle a specific challenge. This initiative aims to foster collaborations, applied learning, and pathways for implementation and growth.

The India Hub involves the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health – India Research Center, Incubation Centre IIT Patna (IC IITP) and the KIIT School of Public Health, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar Deemed to be University. The HSIL Hackathon for the India Hub will be collaboratively hosted at two locations- Patna, Bihar and Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Applicants can indicate their preferred location when submitting their application.. Selected applicants may be assigned to either location based on capacity.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with global mentors, compete with interdisciplinary teams, gain exposure to investor networks, and stand a chance to win and participate in the 8-week HSIL venture incubation program.
