Community Engagement
IHH fosters collaboration and outreach through newsletters, seminars, and partnerships, creating a platform for researchers and practitioners to share insights and drive policy impact.
We connect Harvard Chan students with community organizations to collaborate on impactful projects that address pressing needs identified by the organizations. These partnerships provide students with the opportunity to fulfill their required practicum while gaining hands-on experience in the field. At the same time, community organizations benefit from fresh perspectives and dedicated support to advance their mission and drive meaningful progress.
If you are a community organization serving people experiencing homelessness or an adjacent cause and you have a project that you would like a student to collaborate on, please contact us at ihh@hsph.harvard.edu.
Our events bring together researchers, practitioners, students, and community leaders to foster collaboration and drive innovation in addressing health and homelessness. From our monthly seminar series featuring field experts to webinars, workshops, and networking opportunities, we create spaces for sharing knowledge, exploring solutions, and building connections. These events highlight cutting-edge research, amplify diverse voices, and inspire actionable change, aligning with our mission to advance health equity and improve outcomes for individuals experiencing homelessness.
Our e-newsletter, Leading Questions, keeps you informed about the latest developments at the intersection of health and homelessness. Each issue features expert insights through our “Exchange with an Expert” series, spotlights student projects and contributions, and provides updates on our initiatives, events, and opportunities for engagement. Designed to inspire dialogue and collaboration, Leading Questions offers a platform for sharing knowledge, amplifying innovative approaches, and driving progress toward equitable solutions.
