Application Requirements

  1. CV / resume
  2. Statement of purpose and objectives that addressing the reasons you wish to attend this program, your professional goals, and why you feel this program will be beneficial to you (one (1) page or 500 words max) 
  3. Two (2) letters of reference / evaluations from professors and / or employers who know you well
  4. Unofficial transcript(s) from all post-secondary institutions
  5. English proficiency test, if applicable
    • If you did not receive a degree from an institution where English was the language of instruction, you are required to submit one of the following tests: TOEFL, IELTS Academic, or Duolingo. Please visit the HSPH website and scroll down for more details on how to submit your test scores.
  6. Application fee ($60 USD)

Step 1: Create a SOPHAS Express Account at https://sophasexpress.liaisoncas.com.

Step 2: Select School and Program

  • Once you are logged in, click on the “Add Program” tab
  • Click on the “Available Programs” tab
  • Search “By Institution” for “Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health”
  • Click on “Global Health Delivery Intensive” Summer 1 Session
  • Select “Harvard School of Public Health” and “Global Health Delivery Summer Intensive” program

Step 3: Personal Information – Complete all sections.


Step 4: Academic History – Complete the following:

  • Colleges Attended: add all undergraduate, graduate or professional institutions you attended or are currently attending
  • Standardized Tests (optional)
  • English Proficiency Test (if applicable): upload your test scores here OR visit the HSPH website and scroll down for more options on how to submit.

Step 5: Supporting Information – Submit the following:

  • Recommendation: submit two (2) electronic recommendations
  • Experiences: leave this section blank (this information will be covered in your CV/resume)
  • Achievements: (optional)
  • Licenses and Certifications: (optional)

Step 6: Program Materials – Select “Global Health Delivery Intensive” and “Documents.”

  • Documents: Upload the following –
  • CV/Resume
  • Personal Statement
  • Unofficial Transcripts

Step 7: Submit Application – Pay the non-refundable $60 USD application fee and submit your application.
