Rebecca Weintraub, MD is an associate professor in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an associate physician in the Division of Global Health Equity at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Rebecca is the faculty director of the Global Health Delivery Project at Harvard University. Dr. Weintraub is a practicing internist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Over the past decade, Rebecca has led the research regarding implementation bottlenecks and positive exemplars in health delivery. In 2008, she launched the Cases in Global Health Delivery. The cases are taught at 1000+ schools of medicine, public health, and business. Rebecca co-leads the Global Health Delivery Intensive program, a program jointly offered by Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Harvard Medical School. Rebecca also leads Better Evidence, with the aim of equipping frontline providers with vital evidence. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, she equipped decision makers with data-driven tools to deliver vaccines.
Rebecca was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. She is a Health Innovator fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. She has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Nature, and Health Affairs and cited by media outlets including New York Times, BBC, and NPR. Julie Rosenberg, MPH is Deputy Director of the Global Health Delivery Project at Harvard. She supports Better Evidence, a program working to help current and future health care providers access the latest clinical knowledge at the front lines of care delivery through digital tools. With the Director, she has led the scale-up strategy, research and program operations, leveraging in-kind donations and funding to maximize the impact of the program on patient outcomes.
Julie also supports health care providers by studying what works in health care delivery and sharing those lessons through courseware and training. Julie has helped lead the development of over 45+ open-access teaching cases published through Harvard Business Publishing and supported the development of an online community of practice engaging 25,000+ global health providers for over a decade.
Previously, Julie worked in clinical research at Emory University School of Medicine and in community-based nonprofit organizations in Latin America and the US. Julie completed her DrPh in public health leadership, an MPH in epidemiology and global health, and a BA in anthropology, with pre-med coursework and a Spanish language certificate.

Sara Pellegrom, MPH, is the Senior Project Manager for the Global Health Delivery Project. In her role, she supports a portfolio of projects that help the current and future health workforce integrate the latest evidence into their decision making to improve health outcomes.
Previously, Sara worked at the Torchlight Collective, where she advised donors and organizations, created training resources, and developed technical communications materials focused on adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health and rights. She also worked at Women Deliver on the Young Leaders Program, supporting youth advocates to participate in capacity-building activities, grant opportunities, and advocacy strategies.
Sara holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Rhodes College.

Safia Abou-Zamzam is a Research Assistant on the Better Evidence team. In this role, she supports the Better Evidence for Training and Better Evidence for Clinical Care projects by researching opportunities for expansion, landscaping new digital tools, reviewing program applications, and aiding in data analysis.
Safia recently graduated from Harvard College, where she studied Psychology as well as Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. During her undergraduate career, she demonstrated her passion for improving equity and access to resources by working at Y2Y Harvard Square, a youth homeless shelter, and becoming one of the first Diversity and Inclusivity Chairs of The Harvard Crimson.
In the future, Safia hopes to pursue a Masters of Business Administration or a Masters of Public Health in order to help her continue improving the global healthcare field.

Eddie Charles, a family physician specializing in infectious disease and HIV care, is currently pursuing a Master in Global Health Delivery and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She serves as the Assistant Program Director in the Family Medicine Residency Program at Saint Nicholas Hospital in Haiti. Committed to advancing healthcare and medical education in resource-limited settings, her experience includes leadership roles, quality improvement, research, infectious disease management, and curriculum development for the family residency program. She aspires to contribute strategically to global health initiatives and drive impactful healthcare solutions in underserved communities.

Mariama Mahmoud, MD is a Project Coordinator I on the Better Evidence Team, where she helps the team provide access to quality clinical care for clinicians in resource-limited settings. Her role involves reviewing programme applications and responding to user concerns to ensure effective service provision.
Mariama, is a health practitioner from Sierra Leone, where she has worked extensively in various roles, with underprivileged communities. Previously, she served as the Program Manager for the National Leprosy and Tuberculosis Control Programme, where she oversaw the development and implementation of national strategies to combat these diseases.
She holds a master’s degree in Tropical Medicine and International Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and is currently pursuing an MMSc in Global Health Delivery at Harvard Medical School.
Better Evidence for Training Champions support the use of evidence-based digital tools in their respective universities through advocacy, training, and communication activities while working together to share best practices and ideas.
