The webinar will highlight recent progress in strengthening eating disorder surveillance among U.S. youth and share updates from the Working Group’s national and state-level efforts.

We’ll discuss ongoing surveillance efforts including:

  • Our efforts to advance eating disorder surveillance through the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS), including the addition of a binge eating item to the National YRBS
  • Findings from the 2025 CDC YRBS data
  • Case studies from Kentucky and Vermont, including lessons from state partners working to strengthen eating disorder data collection
  • A new data analysis resource

The webinar is intended for researchers, clinicians, public health professionals, advocates, students, community partners, and anyone interested in improving eating disorder surveillance and prevention.
