Andrea Foulkes elected as Fellow of American Statistical Association

We are thrilled that Andrea Foulkes has been elected as a new Fellow of the American Statistical Association. Dr. Foulkes is the Chief of Biostatistics at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Professor of Biostatistics at Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, The ASA recognizes Dr. Foulkes “for leadership in clinical biostatistics at university and academic hospital settings, for fundamental contributions to statistical education, and for outstanding research and service.”

Dr. Foulkes’ research focuses on statistical methods and applications to address significant clinical questions at the intersection of infectious disease and cardiometabolic disease research, including longitudinal latent states and classification methods and statistical genetics. Dr. Foulkes leads data coordinating and management activities for multi-site national clinical studies across the translational spectrum. She is the contact PI for the Data Resource Core of the NIH RECOVER Project on long COVID, the co-PI for the Clinical Coordinating Center for the Prevention and Early Treatment of Acute Lung Injury (PETAL) Network, and the PI and Data Coordinating Center lead for the PCORI project on Sequential Multiple Assignment Randomized Trial for Bipolar Depression (SMART-BD).
