Alumni and Friends
Celebrating a decade of impact

The Chan family’s gift in 2014 was transformative. In recognition of their generosity, Harvard School of Public Health was renamed in honor of T.H. Chan, the father of Ronnie Chan and distinguished alumnus Gerald Chan, SM ’75, SD ’79. The Chans’ generosity has enabled Harvard Chan School to:
- Advance groundbreaking research addressing critical global health challenges
- Attract and support the world’s brightest minds in public health
- Develop innovative educational programs preparing the next generation of public health leaders
- Expand global partnerships promoting health equity worldwide
- Accelerate solutions to complex public health problems through cross-disciplinary collaboration
As we mark this important anniversary, we celebrate not only the generosity of The Morningside Foundation and the Chan family but also the collective impact of our community in advancing the health and wellbeing of people around the world. This milestone also offers us an opportunity to look forward to how our School will continue to lead and innovate in a rapidly changing global health landscape, leveraging emerging technologies and new partnerships to address the most urgent challenges of the next decade.
