Abby is the senior project manager for a CDC-funded award focusing on mathematical modeling development to improve national and global responses to emerging health threats. She also spearheads strategic planning, fundraising and development efforts at CCDD, working closely with leadership. Abby brings deep connections to the global and public health community at Harvard and beyond, with past roles at the Harvard Global Health Institute and Global Health Delivery Project at Harvard Medical School. Abby has also led department administration in the sciences at UC Santa Cruz. She received a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree from the College of Saint Benedict, and has worked in France, Senegal and Haiti.
Sharon brings experience in both quantitative and qualitative public health research, with a focus on strengthening research operations and translating findings into practice. Prior to joining CCDD, she served as a Project Manager to large-scale research initiatives within the Harvard School of Public Health including the Pediatric HIV/AIDS Cohort Study (PHACS) and the Health and Aging in Africa: Longitudinal Studies in South Africa (HAALSA), where she supported multi-site study coordination, regulatory oversight, and research dissemination. Sharon holds a Master of Science in Epidemiology from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and a Master of Science in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
