COVID-19 Press Conferences

The Center for Communicable Disease Dynamics (CCDD) was at the forefront of the research response effort during the acute stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, CCDD’s team, comprised of faculty, researchers, postdocs, and graduate students, held 150 Zoom-based press conferences to share insights with the public. Transcripts and audio recordings of the press conferences are available below.

Additionally, the team was able to leverage deep epidemiological experience with innovative modeling techniques and advanced data analysis to study the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Our experts advised the US government, state and local health departments, and international Ministries of Health. CCDD continues to conduct research and inform policy on COVID-19 transmission, prevention and control. Since early 2020, CCDD has published more than 200 original research papers on SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 including early detection, dynamics of new variants, evaluation of response efforts and how to prepare for and respond to the next pandemic.

From January 2020 to December 2023, we collected and archived CCDD’s work on COVID-19, including publications, media mentions, op-eds, and press conferences that can be accessed below.*
