We are excited to welcome Dr. Melissa F. Young, PhD to discuss “Getting back on track to meet global anemia reduction targets: Lancet Haematology Commission.”

The Commission highlights the urgent need to reinvigorate global action on anaemia by addressing persistent gaps in evidence, implementation, governance, and target-setting. Despite decades of effort, global progress remains below the 2030 target of a 50% reduction in anaemia prevalence, with political and funding constraints threatening further gains. The Commission calls for international cooperation and innovative solutions to accelerate progress.

Speakers’ remarks are based on their own scholarship and experience. As such, they speak for themselves, not for Harvard.
