Six different infectious diseases in varying colors.

A preprint from Samantha Palace and Jordan Reyes explains an experimental method to help monitor Doxycycline resistance in N. gonorrhoeae. Congrats Sam, Jordan and co-authors!

A preprint from Kirstin Roster estimates the undetected burden of infections and likelihood of strain persistence of drug-resistance N. gonorrhoeae. Great work Kirstin!

Two medical articles have covered work lead by Mui Pham which was recently published in Lancet Infectious Disease. You can read them here and here. Congratulations again to Mui!

The lab has also been busy presenting some of their work at conferences. Aditi Mukherjee and Bailey Bowcutt both presented work on at a conference hosted by Center for Integrated Solutions in Infectious Diseases at the Broad Institute. Bailey presented a poster on the interactions between new antibiotics and Aditi gave a talk on the interactions of antibiotic resistance mutations.

Kirstin Roster and Rachel Mittelstaedt presented work at the 2024 STI prevention conference in at Atlanta, Georgia. Kirstin gave two talks, one on the undetected burden of a novel multi-drug resistance, and the other on comparing strategies to monitor Doxycycline resistance in N. gonorrhoeae. Rachel presented a poster on antibiotic resistance in Staphylococcus Aureus.  Congratulations to all our wonderful presenters!
