Summer Program in Clinical Effectiveness

The PCE is designed for individuals seeking quantitative and analytic skills for clinical, population, and health services research, as well as for those interested in health policy or health care administration. A joint program between Mass General Brigham, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health & Harvard Medical School.

The Workload

The PCE is a fast-paced, rigorous program. Ideally, students will be free of all clinical responsibilities during the 6-week period. This enables them to commit fully to the intense, yet very rewarding, curriculum. In addition to three classes daily, students often have afternoon computer labs. The PCE involves a considerable amount of homework. In the past, approximately 20% of participants spent, on average, over 20 hours each week on homework assignments.
