CAUSALab Launches New Online Course: Causal Inference in Pregnancy

CAUSALab has officially launched its new online course, Causal Inference in Pregnancy (CIP).
Taught by instructors Sonia Hernández-Díaz & Krista Huybrechts, Causal Inference in Pregnancy (CIP) teaches participants how to design studies to evaluate interventions in pregnancy within a target trial emulation framework. After reviewing foundational principles, CIP covers both design and implementation challenges unique to pregnancy research.
The course uses a combination of video lectures and hands-on activities for self-paced learning. Instructor Krista Huybrechts notes in the CIP trailer, “[the course] is an efficient way to strengthen your causal inference skills for designing and interpreting studies in pregnancy and to advance your professional development.”
The fall session of CAUSALab’s Online Courses program runs September – December 2026. Participants can also enroll in Fundamentals of Confounding Adjustment (FCA).
