Harvard Catalyst Biostatistics Program: 2025 Highlights

The Harvard Catalyst Biostatistics Program had an eventful year.
The Program saw many successes in 2025. Our biostatistician and bioinformatician consultants provided close to 600 consultations. Investigators across Harvard and its affiliated hospitals received support on a variety of issues, including study and clinical trial design, guidance on specific analytic techniques or the interpretation of results, and assessing the feasibility of pilot studies, among others.
Throughout the year, we offered continuing education opportunities for the Harvard community, including a Short Course, and engaged students, postdoctoral trainees, faculty, and researchers in stimulating discussions at our Journal Club meetings. Topics ranged from approaches for addressing missing data, to multistate methods for modeling clinical transitions, to applications of area under the curve for assessing treatment effects.
As we welcome in 2026, we invite you to stay in contact and hope to see you at our future events. If you’re not already on our mailing list, we invite you to join by sending a note to our Program Manager, Jocelyn Kasper, at CatalystBiostats@catalyst.harvard.edu.
Best wishes and happy holidays from all of us at the Harvard Catalyst Biostatistics Program!
