HCMPH Symposium

We are delighted to invite everyone to the seventh annual Harvard Chan Microbiome in Public Health Center (HCMPH) symposium on May 19, 2025. We are happy to offer a hybrid event format again this year, in-person at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston’s Longwood area, with online streaming also available. Talks and posters will be accessible both virtually and in person, with a Slack workspace available to facilitate communication among all attendees.

This year, the symposium highlights the microbiome’s many roles in food systems – be they the human gut, the nutrition and well-being of our pets, the unique microbial environments of agriculture and livestock, or the movement of food-related microbes and microbial biochemistry throughout our surroundings. The topic thus helps to bring together researchers from many corners of microbiome science, and as a result, we look forward to especially vibrant interactions among a diverse in-person and online attendee community.

Poster Session:
We will have a hybrid poster session this year! Please submit abstracts by email to Nicole Levesque for consideration by April 15, 2025. From the submitted abstracts we will select 2 posters to give short talks at the symposium. There will be an interactive Slack workspace available for conference attendees and poster presenters throughout the day as well. You will be notified if your poster is accepted by May 5, 2025. For both in-person and virtual attendees, a PDF of your poster is required by May 12, 2025 for the Slack Workspace and Symposium website. If you have any questions, please reach out to Nicole.

Note on Abstracts: Please include poster title, all authors/affiliations, and abstract paragraph(s) in your submission. Please do not submit abstracts with tables, or final poster PDFs in place of an abstract. Abstracts may be submitted as word documents or PDFs.
