Human Trafficking Prevention Programs

The CSSE-Lab is conducting evaluation studies in the field of human trafficking sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of Justice. The CSSE-Lab works closely with government officials, community-based organizations and survivors to understand how to raise awareness about this crime and how to empower first responders in recognizing and supporting potential victims.

The CSSE-Lab is conducting evaluation studies to assess the impact of human trafficking awareness campaigns. More specifically, the CSSE-Lab has focused on the evaluation of the Blue Campaign and its impact on human trafficking awareness on first responders and school personnel. The CSSE-Lab has conducted a systematic literature review to identify existing instruments designed to support first responders in recognizing potential instances of human trafficking.
