Student startups chosen for Harvard Innovation Labs support
November 2, 2020 – Eleven teams affiliated with Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health were selected for the Harvard Innovation Labs Fall 2020 i-lab Venture Program cohort. Each team has launched a startup enterprise that will be further developed through the program, which offers support and resources for Harvard students and alumni who are building an idea into a venture.
The 11 i-lab startups include:
Amazing School of Life: A cross-border online education and mentorship platform through which elderly individuals teach children around the world
ArchEpi: Helps real estate developers partner with local governments to advance community goals related to reducing chronic disease and the health effects of climate change
Books for Him & Her: Provides adolescent health education to address the sexual and reproductive health knowledge gap faced by 48% of young Ghanaians
Burgers To Beasts: Helps individuals design ways of mindful living and healthy habits
CareLink: Helps people with joint-replacement surgeries and their care providers efficiently track their treatment journey and achieve value-based care
Easy Shoulder: Smartphone app that can help people understand their painful joint conditions and guide them to more effective rehabilitation
HealthDataRecipe.ai: Education delivery platform for health care professionals with no coding background who want to learn artificial intelligence (AI) to solve problems in their domains
Karma Health: Aims to ensure dependable public-sector health care in rural Nepal
Phronesis Bio: Elucidates clinical trials for patients, pharma companies, and investors
PREPARE: Uses digital platforms to deliver effective mental health resilience training for health care workers during COVID-19 outbreaks in resource-limited regions
Wellfree: Provides affordable health insurance for gig workers by promoting prevention through behavioral change to reduce overall health care costs
An additional Harvard Chan–affiliated team, Docosan, was selected for the 2020 Launch Lab X GEO cohort, a Harvard Innovation Labs community connecting alumni ventures across the globe. Docosan allows patients to compare doctors across specialties and take control of their health data in Vietnam.
