Another honor for HICRC leaders.  Matt Miller Elected into the National Academy of Medicine

Matt Miller, Co-Director of HICRC, has been elected into the National Academy of Medicine (NAM). This honor is in recognition of a quarter century of epidemiologic research on firearm injuries and suicides. In its announcement, NAM stated that Dr. Miller’s work has “enhanced our understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of suicide prevention via lethal means restrictions.”  Matt’s impact extends far beyond academic research and includes developing clinical interventions that highlight how firearm access and storage counseling can save patients’ lives.
