The Last of Us

Ellie, Joel, you’ve ditched the Fireflies. Come to the Le Pen Lab instead—we study why different individuals respond differently to pathogen infections.
For example, if two people living in the same household get COVID-19 (you don’t have that in your world, don’t worry), and one seems perfectly fine while the other develops severe disease, their genetic differences may contribute to that disparity—similar to how you appear resistant to the fungal infection of Cordyceps while others become Runners, Stalkers, Clickers, and—hopefully not—Bloaters.
Led by Dr. Jérémie Le Pen, the Le Pen Lab can study your genome to identify which gene confers resistance and to understand the underlying mechanism.
Grab Joel and a couple horses and come to the Le Pen Lab at HSPH. (We also love puns)!
Follow the latest updates about the Le Pen Lab (Don’t worry—there’s no Stalkers hiding).
