Prof. Manoj Duraisingh awarded Star-Friedman Challenge funding
Congratulations to Prof. Manoj Duraisingh, who is among the recipients of the 2026 Star-Friedman Challenge for Promising Scientific Research. The Star-Friedman Challenge supports bold, high-risk, high-reward research with the potential to advance scientific discovery and address major societal challenges.
Prof. Duraisingh received the award alongside collaborator Prof. Ahmad “Mo” Khalil for a collaborative project at the interface of malaria biology and synthetic biology. The funding will support the development of innovative approaches with the potential to transform disease detection.
