Dr. Dilpreet Singh is a Senior Scientist in the Health Sciences practice at Exponent, where he provides consulting services in the area of quantitative exposure assessment and risk modeling of consumer products and occupational environments involving use of emerging chemicals and advanced materials including nanoparticles. Dr. Singh specializes in the design and development of lab-based platforms and approaches for assessing lifecycle-specific exposures to engineered nanomaterials and incidental nanoparticles in occupational, consumer product use and environmental settings. Tom Smith is the President and CEO of 3Flow. Mr. Smith has worked for more than 30 years helping facilities provide safe, efficient, and sustainable performance of labs and critical workspaces. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene from the University of North Carolina. Arthur Soma has been in the nuclear filtration industry for more than 20 years. He currently participates on several nuclear air cleaning code writing committees for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and is the chair for Working Group 8 (High Efficiency Gas Phase Adsorbers) for the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology. Art currently holds the position of Product Manager – Nuclear and Containment with Camfil and is responsible for managing Camfil’s containment product mix. He attended Franklin University (Columbus, Ohio) and currently lives in Columbus, Ohio.
Mike Spadafore is a Managing Director of the Blue Venture Fund and Sandbox Industries. The Blue Venture Fund program is a unique partnership between over 30 BCBS entities, BCBSA, and Sandbox Industries and represents over $850M assets under management. As part of his role with the Fund, Mike helps lead the investment team, set investment strategy, manage the portfolio, and engage with Blue Plan executives across the system. Dr. Mary Spilde has served as president of Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, since August 2001. She is a nationally respected authority on community colleges, workforce development and sustainability. She joined Lane in 1995 as vice president for instructional services and in 1997 was named vice president for instruction and student services. Prior to Lane, she served in a variety of leadership positions for 15 years at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Oregon, dean of business, health, and training. Mary Ann Stevenson, MD, PhD is Chief of Radiation Oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School (HMS). Dr. Stevenson’s major academic/ research interests include the identification and characterization of radiation-induced signal transduction pathways/ radiation-induced gene activation; as well as organization behavior and the application of LEAN methodology to healthcare operations and management. Her clinical areas of expertise are hematologic malignancies/lymphomas and sarcomas. The Keith C.
