Mark Bennett has worked in the field of occupational safety and industrial hygiene for over 35 years. Emphases include safety in clinical and research laboratories, respiratory protection, job safety analysis, and life safety.

Dr. Bennett serves as Michigan State University’s (MSU) vice president and chief diversity officer where he reports directly to the president and is a member of the executive leadership team. In this role, he partners with other senior leaders, deans, faculty, staff, students and alumni to advance the institution’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategic priorities. Dr. Bennett is also a professor of medicine in the College of Human Medicine at MSU.Prior to joining MSU, Dr. Bennett served as the inaugural associate provost for diversity and inclusion, and chief diversity officer at Northwestern University. Previously, he worked as associate dean of the Graduate School,…

Dr. James Benneyan is a nationally recognized leader in healthcare systems engineering and quality improvement methods. He is director of the healthcare systems engineering program at Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts, co-director of a National Science Foundation healthcare improvement science center, and has taught workshops, seminars, and short courses in healthcare process improvement for the Massachusetts Hospital Association, Institute for Healthcare Improvement, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, and American Society for Hospital Engineers. Wade Berner is a registered Professional Engineer in both the US and Canada and has been immersed within facility commissioning, optimization and performance for over 27 years. As a Commissioning Authority, he has implemented these strategies on projects ranging from elementary schools to highly critical facilities including two BSL4 laboratory facilities and a rocket launch complex. Ms. Bissell first served UNICEF in 1987, in New York, in what was then called the Division of Information and Public Affairs. Thereafter she returned to the University of Toronto to complete a Master’s degree in law, economics and international relations. Ms. Bissell then resumed her work at UNICEF, in the Sri Lanka country office, focused on children in especially difficult circumstances (CEDC). From there she moved to Bangladesh and maintained her CEDC concentration, positioning UNICEF particularly on child labor at a time when it was attracting considerable international attention. Jakob Bjørner is Chief Science Officer at QualityMetric and Professor of Epidemiology at the National Research Centre for the Working Environment in Denmark. He also has affiliations with the University of Copenhagen. Jakob specializes in applying modern psychometric theory to the measurement of health outcomes. In collaboration with John E. Ware Jr. and the science team at QualityMetric, Jakob developed the DYNHA® computerized adaptive testing software for measuring patient reported health outcomes.
