AI’s potential health benefits, risks discussed at 2024 PQG conference
Check out the recent HSPH featured news story covering the 2024 PQG Conference on ‘AI in Genomics’ that took place at the Joseph Martin Conference Center, Oct 17-18, 2024. The article highlights discussion of some of the recent applications of AI for precision/translational medicine and healthcare including the development of new molecules to treat cancer and antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections. Conference participants also focused on generative AI models that help clinicians perform a wide variety of tasks, along with some of the challenges that emerge from the regulation of AI and its social and ethical impacts.
