Biostats Alumna Irina Degtiar Recives 2024 ASA Oustanding Statistical Application Award
Biostats alumna Irina Degtiar, (PhD ’21), currently a Statistician at Mathematica Research, received the 2024 ASA Outstanding Statistical Application Award for her dissertation paper, Conditional cross-design synthesis estimators for generalizability in Medicaid, along with her dissertation advisor Sherri Rose, currently Professor of Health Policy at Stanford University, and co-authors Tim Layton and Jacob Wallace. The same paper was recognized by both the stats and econ communities, having won the Manning Memorial Award for the Best Research in Health Econometrics earlier this summer. Congratulations Irina!
