As alumni and close friends of Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, we hope you’ll join us for an inspiring evening with Dean Andrea Baccarelli, Dr. Rashad Massoud, MPH ’93, and members of our vibrant D.C. community.

About the Speakers

Andrea Baccarelli, MD, PhD, became Dean of the Faculty at Harvard Chan School in January 2024. An internationally recognized scientist and thought leader, his pioneering work has transformed our understanding of how environmental factors impact long-term health. Elected to the National Academy of Medicine and recognized as one of the world’s most highly cited scientists, Dean Baccarelli brings a vision of expansive collaboration and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Under his leadership, the School is forging new paradigms in public health research and education. Dean Baccarelli champions bold interdisciplinary initiatives and a culture where faculty, students, and staff will have the resources to develop impactful solutions to global health challenges.

Dr. Massoud is a globally recognized leader in improving healthcare and strengthening systems worldwide. As former president of the Harvard Chan School Alumni Association and current Harvard Alumni Association Board Member, he brings deep expertise and warm familiarity to this conversation. A visiting lecturer in our Department of Global Health and Population, Dr. Massoud has led transformative health programs across more than 100 countries, including his current work as Head, Global Health, USA at IQVIA, and prior work as Senior Vice President and Chief Program Officer at Americares, and Chief Medical and Quality Officer at University Research Co., LLC where he led major USAID initiatives.
