Alumni Association Committees
The below Standing Committees are defined in the bylaws, and their membership is determined by the Chairs at the turnover of each calendar year. Special Committees may also be formed to carry out the work of the Association. If you are interested in joining a committee, please contact the Office for Alumni Relations.
Nominating Committee
Chair: J. Jacques Carter, MPH ’83
Deputy Chair: Paula Ivey Henry, SM ’95
Reviews nominations from interested alumni and convenes each spring to select the slate of nominees to be on the ballot for open Alumni Council positions.
Alumni Weekend Committee
Chair: Priti Lakhani, SM ’13
Co-Chair: Alie Scholes, SM ’12
Plans the structure and programming of the annual Alumni Weekend gathering in Boston. Committee selects a theme, proposes and invites speakers, and contributes to financial and logistical conversations with the Office for Alumni Relations.
Awards Committee
Chair: Bernard Lee, MPH ’14
Co-Chair: Patricia Moran, MPH ’04
Determines criteria, and selects winners for the Harvard Chan School Alumni Association Awards. The current slate includes the Award of Merit (the highest honor given to alumni by the School), as well as the Emerging Public Health Professional, Leadership in Public Health Practice, and Public Health Innovator Awards.
Alumni Giving Committee
Co-Chairs: Priya Desai SM ’98, Anthony Dias MPH ’04
Join our Alumni Giving Committee and help strengthen Harvard Chan School’s future. As a committee member, you’ll champion philanthropy within our global alumni community and collaborate with staff to enhance giving initiatives. Your leadership role includes making a meaningful gift and developing strategies to increase alumni participation.
