Your Alumni Communities

Harvard Chan graduates enjoy free automatic lifetime membership in the Harvard Chan School Alumni Association and the University-wide Harvard Alumni Association, both of which offer many opportunities to network with alumni, volunteer for the School and University, attend events, and mentor current students.

Harvard Chan alumni may also request to join the Harvard Business School Healthcare Alumni Association, a worldwide community of health care leaders with a robust calendar of events, including an annual conference and webinar series.

With four standing committees and yearly special committees, alumni can join most years during the annual recruitment period. Membership lasts either one or two years, depending on the committee.

Chapters help you build a personal and professional network of individuals who share your desire to improve health and well-being in your community and around the world. While not every city or region can support an alumni chapter, anyone can become a Global Connector. Connectors serve as a designated contact in their city, region, or country and work closely with the Office for Alumni Relations to engage alumni.

Support the mission of Harvard Chan School and influence the lives of future public health professionals! Admissions ambassadors commit to meeting with prospective and incoming students by answering their questions (virtually or in-person), making presentations to prospective students, or staffing graduate school fairs.

Engage with Students

The Office of Career and Professional Development hosts virtual Alumni Office Hours where students can schedule 30-min. advising appointments with alumni who have volunteered to share their career experience and provide advice. If you are interested in participating in office hours or on a career panel, email careers@hsph.harvard.edu

You can also the Career Network feature on their Harvard profile to show students and fellow alumni they are willing to give career advice.

When you host an MPH or DrPH student you enhance the educational experience by giving students the opportunity to turn theory into practice, and develop professional skills in a public health setting by addressing the needs of your organization. The Office of Field Education and Practice administers these programs.

We invite you to refer prospective students from your networks and communities. By referring talented candidates, some of whom may not have considered public health or the Harvard Chan School, you help ensure qualified and passionate students apply, regardless of background.
