Q: Do I need to register to participate in PHL Lab activities, or can I just drop-in?
A: Registration is required and due by September 13th, 2024. Click here to register now.
Q: Is Public Health Leadership Lab in-person or virtual during the 2024-2025 school year?
A: Students will have the option of joining either in-person or virtual leadership learning cohorts. See the cohort schedules on the program overview page for more detail.
Q: What courses count towards the 10 credits that are required for the Public Health Leadership concentration?
A: Any courses listed on this roster of approved courses, count towards your 10-credit requirement.
Q: I am interested in joining the Public Health Leadership Lab, but cannot complete the 10 credits. Can I still participate?
A: Yes! All students participating in the PHL Lab are required to join a leadership learning cohort, complete a 360-degree leadership assessment, and participate in coaching or mentoring, however the 10-credits of coursework are only required of those students who wish to formally complete the concentration in public health leadership.
Q: Will the 10 credits for the concentration be able to overlap with the electives required for my program?
A: Yes, if you are taking a PHL approved course as part of your degree program, those credits can count towards the 10-credits of leadership coursework required for the concentration. Some degree programs have more overlap than others.
Q: What are the attendance policies for PHL Lab?
A: You are expected to be present for all 4 meetings with your leadership learning cohort. Please select the cohort with meeting days that best fit your schedule. See the cohort schedules on the program overview page for more detail.
