Accreditation
Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), an independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit schools of public health and public health programs.
Harvard Chan has been accredited since 1946. In November 2024, the School went through the CEPH reaccreditation process. As part of its reaccreditation, the School prepared a self-study that outlined how it meets each CEPH accreditation criterion, including organization, governance, resources, faculty, students, curriculum, research, and service. This self-study was assessed by an external CEPH site visit team, which visited the School and interacted with a wide range of school stakeholders, including faculty, students, staff, alumni, and partners from the external community.
The School is awaiting the CEPH Board of Councilors’ decision on its reaccreditation, which will be made in early 2025. Once available, the 2024 self-study report will be posted here.
