Active Projects
The CAFE RCC brings together the research community to foster collaboration and accelerate science to address the health impacts of increasing extreme weather and natural disasters.
In partnership with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office, we are leveraging existing state health data to understand which communities have highest climate exposure and health risks.
This project is an industry collaboration with Truveta.
“Climate, Health and AIr pollution Research in India (CHAIR-India): Addressing gaps in achieving the sustainability development goals” is the first project within the consortium in collaboration with the Karolinska Institutet (KI), Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public health (HSPH), Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH), Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai ,Ben Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), and the Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC).
This project aims to study health outcomes and mortality in India using a nationwide PM2.5 and temperature exposure model for 2010-2020, at fine spatio-temporal resolution.
In this mixed-methods study, a team across Harvard, Boston University, and the University of Chicago are investigating the impacts of extreme heat on mental health among uninsured and publicly insured individuals in the City of Boston.
This collaborative project led by Dr. Mary Rice is investigating heat and air quality interactions and health outcomes across the US.
