Frankie Greene

Frankie (they/them) is an MPH candidate at Boston University School of Public Health. They have a B.A. from Hampshire College and 6 years of research experience in neuropsychology, linguistics, and public health. They are also a Nationally Registered EMT with 3 years of emergency medicine experience. After a handful of career pivots, Frankie found themselves managing an emergency COVID-19 pandemic response team that provided COVID-19 testing and vaccines to communities in the greater Boston area. Through this experience, Frankie realized their passion for community health and epidemiology.
At Boston University School of Public Health, Frankie is working toward certificates in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and Sex, Sexuality, and Gender. They are a current Maternal and Child Health Research Fellow under Dr. Allegra Gordon, primarily studying transgender and nonbinary young adults’ (TNB YA) positive and negative experiences on social media.
Frankie’s research interests also include reproductive and sexual health, mental health, and LGBTQ+ linguistics. They strive for inclusion, representation, respect, and affirmation of LGBTQ+ bodies and experiences both in and outside of healthcare spaces.
