Briana Edison is a behavioral health researcher specializing in sexual behavior, sex education, and healthy relationship development among youth. She earned her PhD in Health Promotion and Behavior from Georgia State University’s School of Public Health and her MPH in Infectious Disease Management, Control, and Prevention from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Public Health. Briana led three primary data collection studies for her dissertation, focusing on defining and measuring sexual health communication between young adult sexual partners using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Her research on adolescent sexual behavior has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, including a study recognized as part of the 2024 Distinguished Dozen by The Journal of Adolescent Health for its outstanding contribution to adolescent and young adult health. She has also presented her work at national conferences.
