The Nutritional Biomarker Lab is a core facility within the Department of Nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. The lab aims to provide high quality nutritional biomarker data that allows researchers to evaluate, through objective biomarkers, how nutritional factors relate to human health outcomes.

We collaborate with investigators within the Harvard community and beyond, nonprofit and for-profit alike, and contribute to scientific findings.

Blood Lipoprotein Subspecies Assay

Measures subspecies defined by apolipoproteins within each broad category of blood lipids, including the very-low density lipoprotein, low-density lipoprotein, and high-density lipoprotein particles.

Blood Fatty Acid Assay

Measures a full profile of fatty acids (n40) in blood, red blood cells, adipose tissue, or food samples.

Blood Antioxidant Panel Assay

Measures several antioxidants of dietary origin in blood and food samples.
