Lillian Kay Petersen: Lillian was an undergraduate student at Harvard majoring in Applied Math / Molecular Biology. Her research interests include infertility GWAS and machine learning for better genetic predictions. Outside of work, she enjoys trail running and playing guitar.

Garyk Brixi: Garyk was an undergraduate student studying computer science at Harvard, class of 2023. His interests include polygenic risk scores and machine learning.

2022

Marius Weidmann (2022-2023): Marius was a second-year SM student in Computational Biology and Quantitative Genetics at the Department of Biostatistics. His research focuses on method development for polygenic risk prediction and utilizing cross-trait information for increased model accuracy.

Present: Assistant Professor of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and Harvard Medical School; Assistant Professor in the Departments of Nutrition at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH). The main area of Jun’s research focuses on the identification of genetic, epigenetic and metabolic factors for cardiometabolic disease, and mechanisms through which lifestyle factors and diet impact human health, using multi-omics integration approaches.

2021

Xikun Han, PhD (2021-2022): Xikun was a postdoctoral research fellow​​ in the Department of Epidemiology, Program in Genetic Epidemiology and Statistical Genetics at Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, mentored by Dr. Liang. Prior to joining the lab, Xikun earned his Ph.D. in statistical genetics from QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute & University of Queensland in Australia under the supervision of Prof. Stuart MacGregor. His research focuses on the genetics of complex disorders, especially eye diseases and asthma. He is interested in developing new statistical and computational tools for multi-omics data. He leverages large-scale biobanks and multi-omics data to characterize genetic architecture, predict disease risk, and discover new drug targets.

Shujian Zhu (2018-2020): Shujian was an SM student in Biostatistics (CBQG). Currently she is a Data Scientist at Aetna, Wellesley MA.

Qian Xiao (2018-2020): Qian was an SM student in Biostatistics (CBQG).

Lu Zhu: Lu was an SM student in Epidemiology.

Jiaxuan Zhao (2018-2020): Jiaxuan was an SM student in Biostatistics.

Now: Assistant Professor, Massachusetts General Hosital & Harvard Medical School.
2017-2020, postdoc fellow with Dr. Liming Liang and Dr David Christiani. I received doctoral of science degree in Environmental and Molecular Epidemiology at Harvard T.H.Chan School of Public Health. My research interests mainly include identifying the shared effect of genetic and epigenetic components for respiratory and immune illnesses, such as asthma, allergy and COPD using large scale UK Biobank and GWAS consortium data, and I hope to transform the research findings into community prevention and clinical intervention.

Jinyan Huang, PhD (2012-2014): Former Post-doc research fellow. Now Associate professor of Bioinformatics worked at Shanghai Institute of Hematology (SIH) and National Research Center for Translational Medicine Shanghai (NRCTM).
