Mary Kathryn Poole
Mary Kathryn Poole is a second-year Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Nutrition. Her research aims to translate public health nutrition research into effective public policy; strengthen nutrition environments in settings that serve young children; and evaluate initiatives that advance nutrition and food security. As a former public health practitioner of community-based nutrition programs, she also aims to bridge the gap between research and practice by uniting on effective strategies that support population health. Mary Kathryn received a PhD in Population Health Sciences at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, MPH at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and BS in Psychology at Davidson College.
