Study Objectives

We are studying how doulas’ knowledge of environmental chemicals impact pregnancy health outcomes.

Pregnant People

Eligibility

Doulas who are currently working with pregnant individuals.

In this study, you will:

  • Take short (~15 minute) pre and post-course surveys
  • Take a 1 hour online course on environmental chemicals
  • Use information from the course to counsel pregnant people on environmental chemicals
  • Help identify pregnant people interested in learning about environmental chemicals and pregnancy

Eligibility

Pregnant people currently working with a doula.

  • Take short (~15 minute) pre and post-course surveys
  • Have a conversation with your doula about ways to reduce environmental chemical exposures in pregnancy
  • Optional: you can provide 2 urine samples before and after you receive doula counseling

Compensation

  • Up to $30 for the completion of both surveys
  • $20 for having a conversation with each participant
