Researchers

Dr. Bijetri Bose obtained her Ph.D. in Economics in 2015 from the University of Washington. She has previously worked at Oberlin College, Ohio and at the University of California, Los Angeles where she focused on examining the impact of policies and social programs on education, health and welfare, particularly of girls and women, across various countries. Her research is in applied microeconomics and she is currently working on analyzing health outcomes and health systems in low- and middle-income countries. On the India Health Systems Project, she is focused on measuring and identifying the causes of inefficiencies in the health system in the state of Odisha.

Kai is an applied microeconomist studying health economics, development economics and industrial organization. His research focuses on the roles of the government and the private sector in health care, health insurance, and health systems broadly.

Jonah Goldberg is a PhD student in the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He specializes in the study of health systems, and his research seeks to apply insights from organizational economics to better understand variation in healthcare provider performance in low- and middle-income countries, especially in the public sector. Before starting his PhD, Jonah spent two years working as a research assistant for Professor Winnie Yip at Harvard Chan and, prior to that, two years working as a research assistant for Professor Suraj Srinivasan at Harvard Business School. He holds an AB in International Relations (Political Economy) from Brown University.

Caitlin Noonan is a PhD student in the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her research focuses on enhancing access to quality health services, evaluating health systems, and developing equitable solutions to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes in low- and middle-income countries. Prior to starting her PhD, Caitlin worked with the World Bank Group as a part of the Primary Health Care Performance Initiative and as a Research Associate for Professor Krishna Rao at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH). She holds an MSPH from JHSPH and a BS in Nutritional Sciences and Global Health from Cornell University.
