Biography
Dr. Ballerini is Research Associate at the Department of Biostatistics of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and member of the National Studies on Air Pollution and Health (NSAPH) group. Previously, she was an independent postdoc and team leader of the Bayesian Methods for Clinical and Observational Studies (BayesMeCOS) project at the University of Florence.
Her research work is about formalizing new methods and models for causal inference from a missing data perspective, leveraging data integration and borrowing information techniques, with applications in clinical and environmental studies. During her PhD, she developed methodologies for population size estimation borrowing information from multiple sources and in the presence of coverage errors.
