Biography
In collaboration with scientists at many different institutions, I work on research studies to better understand HIV reservoir biology and on clinical trials of therapies to modify the latent HIV reservoir, either directly by a treatment or through interventions to augment the immune system to better recognize and eliminate latently infected cells.
In addition, I develop and evaluate statistical methods with application to analyses of HIV persistence, assess and model HIV rebound kinetics following the withdrawal of HIV treatment which is the key clinical readout for the effect of HIV curative interventions and work to extend causal inference methods to the setting where mediators are measured subject to a lower assay limit.
