Fierce partisanship dominates U.S. politics at a national level. Yet in some states, bipartisan cooperation is possible. This event brought together Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, who recently won re-election as the Democratic leader of a heavily Republican state, and his father, former Gov. Steve Beshear, who also served two terms. They shared lessons in leadership and reflect on the challenges of working across the aisle to achieve policy goals, including expanded access to health care. The conversation was moderated by former Gov. Deval Patrick (D-Mass.)
