October Server and Network Maintenance: FRIDAY, 10/24, 7pm – 1am

IT will perform regular monthly system maintenance to servers and network equipment beginning 7 PM FRIDAY, October 24th, and ending 1 AM Saturday, October 25th, Eastern Time.
Please note the change of day to Friday.
The IT team performs monthly maintenance to keep systems running smoothly and prevent small issues from becoming bigger problems. Patching improves Chan computer system stability and protects against vulnerabilities such as malware attacks, viruses, and other computer threats.
The following services will be unavailable during the dates and times above:
- All Virtual Desktop Systems
- File services
- Mailman listservs
- Local SMTP email services
- Powerfaids and NetPartner
- Wasabi
- Research Servers maintained by the Infrastructure Team
All other services will be unaffected during the maintenance timeframe, including the following:
- Zoom
- Canvas
- Crimson Print
- Microsoft 365 (email, calendar, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Administrative forms (account requests, visitor pass requests, computer setup, etc.)
- Kiteworks by Accellion File Transfer service
- my.harvard
- Web Server (main hsph.harvard.edu site and Intranet site)
- Emma

Okta reminder:
Harvard University is replacing Duo with Okta for identity verification when using HarvardKey. Okta will be required for all HarvardKey-protected apps and services by 10:00am, October 30, 2025.
