Checklist for graduating students

• Register to Participate in Graduation Activities: Complete the graduation form and claim your guest tickets. Graduates will receive information via email to complete the form and request tickets in March. This form will be due by April 25th, 2025.
  • Ticket limits: Graduating students who are participating in the ceremonies will receive up to five (5) guest tickets for Harvard Chan Convocation and up to two (2) guest tickets for Harvard University Commencement. Graduating students do not need tickets to participate in the ceremonies. This is a strict limit set by our venues to ensure we can accommodate all graduates who wish to participate, and we are not able to make exceptions.
• Secure Academic Regalia: All graduating students participating in Convocation and Commencement are required to wear official Harvard regalia as approved by the Harvard University Commencement Office. For any questions and customer service, please contact harvardsupport@herffjones.com
  • Rent Regalia: click here
    • Ship regalia to the bookstore for on-campus pick-up by Thursday, April 10, 2025 
    • Ship regalia to a domestic address off-campus for a fee of $18.10 or an international address off-campus for a fee of $37.35 by Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

    • Graduates can purchase custom regalia online now. Herff Jones is currently offering a 10 percent discount through March 31 with the promo code: Harvardspring10.  
    • To ensure you receive your regalia in time for Commencement, please place your orders NO LATER than March 15, 2025. Those who are shipping internationally should account for an additional two weeks and place orders by March 1, 2025. 
  • If the cost to rent regalia will cause financial hardship, complete the Regalia Rental Hardship Application before ordering regalia. Due by Friday, March 21^st.  

• Request Visa Support letters for your guests.
• Submit speeches to the Harvard Chan Student Speaker Contest by March 31st to compete to speak at Convocation 
• Submit speeches to the Harvard University Student Orations Contest by March 28th to compete to speak at Commencement. 
• Attend Grad Fair. Find everything you need to know about graduation at Grad Fair on March 25 through March 27, 2025.
• Participate in the Class Photo, April 2nd. Class Photo prints will be available for purchase. 
• Nominate yourself or someone you know for graduation awards.
• Register for Affinity Celebrations by date TBA.
• Run for class officer positions. Nominations and voting dates TBA.
• Pick up your tickets for Harvard University Commencement on dates TBA. Your tickets for Harvard Chan Convocation can be accessed via after completing your graduation form. Late pickup will be available, dates and times TBA.
• Attend Convocation ceremonies and events Monday, May 26, 2025 through Thursday, May 29, 2025. Review the graduation week schedule for detailed timing and locations.
• Share all the need-to-know information about attending Graduation events with your guests.
